2008 Call for Submissions!

The Hart House Review, one of Canada's prestigious student literary journals, is now accepting original submissions of prose, poetry, artwork, and photography. In the past, the Review has published such writers as Rohinton Mistry, Camilla Gibb, Lynn Crosbie, and Reza Baraheni, and we are always on the lookout for fresh, eclectic talent. This year's deadline is January 3rd, 2008 at midnight. Submission forms are available online at our website: http://www.harthouse.utoronto.ca/hh/page
.php?id=Get04

Submissions must be emailed along with the submission form to harthousereview@gmail.com. Please note: simultaneous submissions are not accepted. However, it is acceptable to send the same piece(s) to the literary/poetry/photography contests as well as the Review. For more information, please contact Ramya at harthousereview@gmail.com

I can't get the link to work. Is there another way to download the file?

Also, what do you mean by "Submissions must be emailed along with the submission form to harthousereview@gmail.com. Please note: simultaneous submissions are not accepted, nor do we accept anything via email."

Do we e-mail submissions or not?

You can email us at harthousereview@gmail.com and we can send the submission form to you.

As for the second question, that was an error on our parts prompted by months of school induced haze. Forgive us. The error has been corrected. Submissions should in fact be emailed to harthousereview@gmail.com
Thanks for pointing that out!

Perhaps this is being difficult, but what exactly is a simultaneous submission?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I just came across this comment now. A simultaneous submission essentially refers to when you submit the same piece to more than one publication at a time. Hope that helps! If you have any further questions it's best to email harthousereview@gmail.com as we check that account regularly.

As I am not a UofT student, or a resident of Toronto (but yet curious about the material in this publication), I was wondering whether issues are made available online somewhere.

thanks, and apologies if i have posted in the wrong spot.

We are in the midst of transforming our fledgling online presence into a full blown website with archives. We hope to launch the website by the end of March 2008 and will announce it on this blog as soon as we do. Thanks for your interest!
